Mountainbike Track Noordwijk

The blue mountain bike route is one long singletrack through a beautiful dune and pine area. The route is technically quite difficult. It will therefore be a challenge for novice mountain bikers. Every metre demands concentration. This is due to the rapidly succeeding bends followed by short steep climbs. In addition, 3 extra loops have been realised, each with their own colour markings. In total, a route can be ridden of almost 8 kilometres.

Loop 1: Broekhorst is marked in red,
Loop 2: Rampenpad has black markings.
Loop 3: Vossenpaadje has white markings.

The Noordbikers cycling club has created this permanent mountain bike route in collaboration with Staatsbosbeheer.

If you have time to look around while cycling, be sure to do so! The route is located in a beautiful dune and pine area north of Noordwijk, the Hollands Duin. A row of dunes that nature and man have created together. Wind and water formed the beach and dunes, people planted potato fields, extracted water from the dune soil and planted forests. Concrete bunkers and a wavy anti-tank wall are tangible reminders of the Second World War. And from the high dune tops, Hollands Duin offers beautiful views: of the bulb fields behind the dunes, of the villages and, of course, of the beach and the North Sea, where the surf had long been heard.
